Jackline Mwende, the 28-year-old lady from Machakos County, came into the limelight in August last year. Her hands were allegedly chopped off by her husband in a domestic violence incident.
It is alleged that her husband attacked her for not giving him a child.
Mwende lost her hands and sustained serious deep cuts on her forehead, disfiguring her face. She was later on flown to Seoul, Korea for a prosthetic limb surgery which was to assist her limbs in regaining functionality.
The three million surgery was successful and Mwende hopes of doing some of the essential tasks that she could not do.
Not only did she regain functionality but she is also pregnant.

It is through this heinous act that attracted a number of well-wishers that came out to assist her. To her, it is God who has decided to re-write her story.
Floodgates of blessings have continued to flow her way. With most Kenyans having forgotten her story and her whereabouts, a section of politicians have really stood with her.
On Sunday, women parliamentarians decided to surprise her with keys to her new house and a fully stocked shop.
With a smile on her face, her speech was a clear indication that her life was rejuvenated and she could feel the new lease of her life.

Despite her hands being chopped off, she has a reason to smile. Apparently, she got new hands and she is living like a normal person. She can now comfortably fend for herself and above all, she has a place she can now call home nd where she will stay with her unborn child.
Life threw stones at her but she has used the stones to revive her life. She has stood out as an inspiration to many.
