Known to many as a fierce Iron lady in Kamba politics, wavinya has carved her name in the political books.

She is eyeing the Machakos gubernatorial seat that is held by Dr. Alfred Mutua who fell off with wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and formed his own political party.

Wavinya Ndeti is vying on a Chama Cha Uzalendo party, a party that has made inroads in the wider Ukambani region. The party has been seen to be leaning towards the new NASA coalition that enjoys a majority support from the region.

Her stint as the Kathiani member of parliament in the 2007-2013 session made her popular among the Machakos residents and it hasn't been a hard task for her to identify with the electorates.
The Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement that the current governor will be seeking reelection on is affiliated to the jubilee administration.

This will pose a challenge to the current governor since the electorate just like in 2013 might decide to vote overwhelmingly along party affiliations.

She is definitely a strong candidate for the top seat in Machakos, however, all this remains to be seen when the electorate will have a chance to make their choice come august 2017 at the polls.
