What has Jubilee in store for Dr.Joyce Laboso ?

It is uncertain that Joyce Laboso will face Isaac Rutto in the forthcoming elections. Already, there is bad blood between supporters of Joyce and Julius Kones.

 It is alleged that Kones enjoys support from the Energy Cabinet Secretary Hon. Charles Ketter.

Criticism circulating on social media groups show Kones moving around Bomet in the same chopper the cabinet secretary usually uses.

Heated debates are so far being experienced between supporters of the two Jubilee candidates eyeing to unseat Isaac Ruto.

There is an evident rivalry between Rutto and Laboso and is highly anticipated for the two to meet in the final round. But will the Jubilee nominations invoke a deviation on the outcome?

Julius Kones is not new in politics. As well he came second after Rutto in the last General Election; though the margin was huge. Maybe he will gobble Joyce's speed before the cocks crow.

Joyce, on the other hand, is ready to face Isaac Rutto owing to the support she has from the Deputy President.

For instance, had there been no disagreement between Ruto and Rutto, would she be running for governorship this year?

There is a lot in store as we wait for the Jubilee nominations. Most likely, Ruto will devour any opponent by noon.

Nothing has changed in Bomet: the same people who weren't able to deliver the Nyongores ward seat to Jubilee, are still the same people facing the incumbent.

If the Jubilee loyal legislatures couldn't deliver a ward seat, what about during general elections when there won't be much backup? Ruto and Uhuru will be having a major duty to deliver votes across the country, and every other contestant will be left for themselves.

They won't shake a veteran politician of Isaac Rutto's stature who at the time will be concentrating his energy and resources on a single county.

It shall be remembered that Bomet has always been brave to divert from other Kalenjin masses. During the late Kipkalya Kones' reign, they sided with Nyachae in Ford People while all other regions of the Rift were in KANU. They are never shy to stand with Rutto. It won't even come as a surprise should they vote for NASA !!

Isaac has a duty to ensure Bomet elects Members of the county assembly, members of parliament and most of all himself from Chama cha Mashinani. That's all.

Joyce on the other hand is left to preach the gospel from the book of the Deputy President while striving to unseat "Plogom" as he is popularly known.

She however has baggage to deal with , including calls by Governor Ranguma that she goes back and vie against him in her matrimonial home (The Obonyo's ), the perception by the electorate that Women Representative seat is reserved for women and Governorship seemingly masculine, and finally Plogom's personal legacy and political stamina built over time.

Forget about all the above. Laboso's cards are bare because Isaac's supporters will vote for Kones during Jubilee primaries !! Then it will be a walk-over for Isaac to defeat Kones; he has done it before.

But all will not be lost. Should Jubilee clinch a second term, Dr.Joyce Cherono Laboso shall be appointed into one of the topmost positions in Government.

We might wake up one morning in the year of the lord 2018 to find High Commissioner Joyce or cabinet secretary. All in all, we keep her abreast in prayer.
