Politicians are nowhere to be found in KCPE preliminary celebrations meaning that they do not prioritise education

Results of the 2016 KCPE exam are out and preliminary celebrations have started. But surprisingly the celebrations are without politicians.

Have you asked yourself, Why? The Kakamega boy who emerged the best student in the country was joined in celebrations by students and parents, l did not see the local MCA, senator, MP, governor or aspirants.

Unfortunately, in January we will get reports that some of Kenya's best students have no school fees. Our politicians do not prioritise education.

Their priority is campaign, mudslinging, fighting in public and looting public coffers. No wonder the President has cautioned universities against admitting politicians who do not qualify.

Let Kenyans desire to change this scenario so that we rid Parliament of the corrupt. Only then will education standards improve.
