Journalists should not be harassed

Media has a role in informing the public on the current issues in both private and Government sectors. Journalists could decide on whether to compromise or not, hence determine the trending things that are published.

Despite assurance for protection, journalists continue to face police harassment and intimidation. It's sad because both their efforts and sacrifices aren't appreciated.

Only last week, riot police officers blatantly targeted journalists covering an anti-corruption protest. The manner in which the Press was teargassed should not be tolerated.
