Kenya has lately
witnessed a steady growth of the middle class, technological advancements as
well as growth of infrastructure. On the other hand, existing companies have
grown and new ones emerged with the zeal to meet the demands of the swelling
middle class.
Some of the new
companies that have taken the country by storm include betting firms and people
are now gambling all the over the country. However, what most Kenyans don’t
know is gambling is not the solution to our problems. In fact, we end up losing
more money than we make. We need to work instead.
My other worry is that
even children are betting. While it is illegal for children to bet, no one is
talking about it. We need to regulate gambling and the advertisements that go
with it so we can transform Kenya from a gambling to a working nation.
