World javelin champion Julius Yego is recovering at Mediheal hospital after getting involved in an accident in Eldoret.

The nasty road accident happened on Sunday 23rd October night while driving his new Toyota car at around 10.00 p.m.

Yego assured his fans through his Facebook handle that he was out of danger after journalists were denied to talk to him by the hospital officials.

"God is living and great! I'm OK my people. Can't believe am alive. @mungu yupo! I'm in stable condition," Julius Yego wrote on his Facebook page.

His car was towed to the Eldoret Central Police Station although journalists were denied access to take photos of the wrecked car.

He however is in a stable condition after he was kept at the hospital overnight for the doctors to run some medical tests.

We wish him quick recovery and may the Almighty be with him through this time.
