Kenya, my beloved country- I will start with what woke me up today. Despite the fact that our athletes were treated unfairly, they made are making us proud in the continuing Rio Olympics. We are doing well- maybe four more gold before the Olympic ends. Our athletes are making us proud yet we are not appreciating them as they deserve.
For instance, Ezekiel Kemboi is the best middle distance runner of all time according to me, for 15 years, he has been a hero- he has won everything, he started before Stephen Cherono who is the current world record holder. Does anyone still remember that Qatari? He vanished- the last time I checked, he was arrested by Kenyan authorities- he should be somewhere thanking God for 2010 constitution.

Kemboi always shaves for a particular reason- the latest was clear, "I have been here for so long, I am old now." Kenyans were quick to criticize him on social media- 34 years is not a joke. That was his best.
The president and his deputy have been going around the country launching the rural electrification programs. Most of the beneficiaries pleased, for the first time in 50 years, the country is getting more connected with electricity- it is one of the current government's promises.

Critics were on DP's neck for lighting the old Makuti thatched house in Kilifi, as usual, we were quick to criticize him on social media that he should have built a better house for the old woman. She was not complaining, who are we to talk on her behalf? As we despise corruption and inequality, we need to have a clear conscience. We are corrupt from our doorstep to our roads, churches, schools, and offices.

As we complain and criticize about everything, we should know that nothing will change. For us to achieve what we have always wanted, we should stop criticizing everything and learn to appreciate the little we get then big things will follow. Let's be honest with what we do- we are the most hardworking country in the world if we take home what belongs to us, stop stealing from our employers, bribing police, lawyers, pastors, county officials for tenders and school head teachers then pay taxes, no one will steal from us. If they do, we will be in a better position to point fingers at them. For now, they will eat, yes they have no right whatsoever- it is the culture within us. We only wish it was us up there.
