Anarchy in South Sudan!

Salva Kir and Riek Machar have let so much blood spill in the name of recognition and supremacy that makes you wonder if they even have an atom of humanity left in them. Responsible leaders should put the interest of their nation which is greater over theirs; this position is entrusted to them by the people as a social contract that is supposed to bind them. The right to life is sacrosanct fundamental and a cherished right once it cannot be guaranteed then it's the law of the jungle prevailing over the rule of law.

A country barely in its infancy with much potential, being brought down to its knees because of two power hungry, selfish, callous individuals who cannot afford to put their difference aside for the sake of their people, despite numerous intervention by the International and African community.

The world must not only pay lip service to the carnage that is happening, but also take a stern, pragmatic, hands on measures such as continued sanction and involvement of  the security council to end the war and protect lives which are under threat.
