Protect old parents from lynch mobs

The youth in Kilifi and its environs should drop this misconception that grey-haired elderly men or women are likely to be sorcerers.

The elderly now live fear in many parts of the region for being mistakenly branded as wizards and hence targeted for elimination.

The youth should not hide behind such reasoning to kill their parents. Some even pray for early death of their parents so that they can inherit property.

Some elderly parents have a hard time, trying  to dye their hair regularly so that they don’t look like ‘sorcerers’.

A law should be enacted to protect the grey-haired elders.
