Probe the sexual assault and beating of Nyeri women MCA's

The pictures were in the local dailies for all to see how women  MCA’s were assaulted in Nyeri county. But to add insult to injury, the youth further sexually assaulted the women MCA's in nyeri in public, this is hitting below the belt.

This act should be condemned by all. The perpetrators of this crime were seen in pictures and should be arrested and charged. Will such actions stop women from contesting for elective seats and wait for nominations? For the Nyeri youth to touch makalio of their mothers is a big shame!

The ward representatives said the youth not only battered them, but grabbed their breasts and behinds before forcing them to leave the venue. What will the women MCA's tell their husbands and sons at home? This is a shame of the 21st century! Surely, what did those goons achieve? Let the action be taken so that it never happens again.

Up to now, no leader elected or nominated has condemned this barbaric action. For a long time the women claimed to have been used as doormats but now they have realized that the Governor doesn’t need them anymore.

Let governors in Kenya know that it is through elections that they are holding those posts. But to harass peace loving elected and nominated leaders in Kenya, so that they show their might is a bad trend. Let proper action be taken to stem this embarrassing behaviour.
