Woman elopes with another man and husband’s savings

As the country is waking up to the reality and news about 'sponsors', a man in Migori county is not willing to take chances as his wife went missing, allegedly to be with another man. The man treated onlookers to a rare spectacle at Posta grounds, Migori town when he accused a certain young woman of facilitating the disappearance of his wife.

The bodaboda rider, said that the lady had linked his wife to another man making her walkout of their marriage. According to another rider, the enraged man had been complaining since he got to their stage at 8am, at Posta grounds. This was not a normal occurrence with him.

It is after he was confronted by his colleagues that he opened up saying his wife had run away. "He looked disturbed and cursed several times as he mumbled words to himself. It is after asking him what the problem was that he disclosed the suspected disappearance of his wife,” said the rider.

Shortly, the accused woman at the centre of the alleged run-away appeared around the bodaboda stage. The man then confronted her fiercely demanding she discloses the location of his wife. "Where is my wife? Why have you conspired to finish me? You are going to know my real colours,” he shouted at the top of his voice.

But the lady who appeared to be in her early 20's looked in amazement trying to decipher what the man was saying. In a splinter, the irate man attacked the lady who had said nothing yet and grabbed her by the neck. "What do you mean I must produce your wife? Please don't kill me yet I am not aware of what you are saying," the lady said amid chocks as she was gasping for breath.

The man said that he had been monitoring her movements alongside his wife's. He then demanded to know where the man she was 'eating' his money with her aunt lived?” Thereafter he claimed that his wife had made away with his savings of Sh80, 000. He had been saving to buy his own motorcycle.

Bodaboda riders who were watching at a safe distance, were forced to intervene due to the cruel manner the lady was being handled. "We thought you had a serious issue, but it turns out you are a serious joker. How can your niece who is very young hide your wife let alone connect her to another man?" A rider asked.

Another rider was also castigating John for being the source of his woes. "We are aware that you have an insatiable appetite for women and as we speak you have been frequenting houses of some other three married women. Serves you right," an anonymous voice from a crowed that had quickly gathered shouted.

However, the lady defended herself citing that she had been away in a neighbouring country for the better part of the month. "I was away in Uganda and I am shocked when someone says that he has been monitoring me for one month. Am I a ghost to be in two places at a go?" the lady asked amid tears. The man who couldn't imagine his wife with another man could not stand the large crowd, forcing him to ride away at top speed embarrassed.
