We ushered in a youthful government and sighed with relief. Perhaps our votes had put an end to the old tiresome era synonymous to assassinations and police brutalities.

Wasn’t a good section of CORD supporters all over social media with ‘my president’ chants whenever Uhuru pulled that digital PR stunt? On that note, leave alone the Jubilee die hards.
When a peaceful protester is beaten, it is no longer about what he was engaging in. What happened to the rule of law?
Everyone knows that no action was taken after UON students were mercilessly beaten by the anti-riot police when they protested. It is clear that it has become a norm.
This does not mean that I support the protesters in any way. In fact I have a piece of mind for them.
Where do you think Raila, Kalonzo and Wetangula’s children were during the protest? You will agree with me that they were somewhere in secure places watching on big screens as the police lobbied tear gas on other people’s children who have become their fathers’ puppets.
Till when will you allow yourselves to be used by politicians who are sure to be protected by armed guards during riots while you risk being killed? Some people need to open their eyes here.
Whether IEBC needs to be disbanded or not is a story for another day, but the police need to be responsible for their action every time. At this point someone needs to face both a disciplinary process and criminal prosecution!
