Butere Girls High School will benefit from a Sh90 million facelift to ensure it meets national school status. The Government will give it Sh30 million to top up the Sh60 million contributed by Deputy President William Ruto’s wife Rachel, her friends and alumni of the school.

The funds will be used for redesigning current physical structures, and putting up ultra-modern buildings that will create friendly environment and elevate the image of the school. Speaking during the official launch of “Reform, Restore and Rebrand Butere Girls” initiative on Saturday, Ruto said the Government will fast-track the project which he promised to supervise until completion.

Ruto directed Public Works department to immediately embark on construction of 2.2km road in the school to guarantee learners and staff easy movement.
