The 2,000 members got the titles after 44 years of waiting. Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal and Samburu County Lands and Housing Executive Irene Senei Leseeto presided over the event which saw residents receive ownership documents for their 16,000 acres. Mr Lenolkulal (pictured) said that other members of group ranches will also get their titles soon.

“We want people to own parcels of land so that they fully utilise them by engaging in farming to boost food security,” said Lenolkulal.
