Stop seeking votes at burial ceremonies, says MP

Mbooni MP Kisoi Munyao has chided local politicians for turning burial ceremonies into political platforms.

Mr Munyao said some of those aspiring for parliamentary seats were using burials to campaign ahead of the 2017 General Election instead of condoling with bereaved families.

The MP said the bereaved should be left to bury their departed kin in peace.

“We cannot allow this to continue,” said Munyao.
