Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma has accused Parliament of not doing enough to defend devolution.
He branded MPs as 'enemies of devolution'.
Addressing the County Assembly, which resumed sittings after a long recess, Mr. Ranguma accused senators and MPs of undermining devolution.
He said it was surprising that senators have turned out to be enemies of county governments.
"Devolution is being fought by many, including the National Government, the National Assembly, and surprisingly, the Senate whose single responsibility is to protect it. In different ways, honourable members have become enemies of devolution," he said.
