Governor Alfred Mutua continues to receive condemnation over his Maendeleo Chap Chap movement launched a week ago.

Dr Mutua is accused of being used by the Jubilee government to divide the Kamba for his selfish interests.

A section of county leaders on Sunday said the Government is using the governor to confuse and split the Kamba voting bloc through his Chap Chap movement.

The leaders dismissed the governor's new outfit, saying it will come down crumbling very soon, leaving him politically wounded.

Led by Senator Johnstone Muthama, they trooped to ABC Kyawalia where they vowed to start off the New Year by forging what they termed unity of purpose to champion and safeguard the interests of the community.

Those who accompanied the senator included MPs Patrick Makau (Mavoko), Stephen Mule (Matungulu), Peter Mathuki (EALA), Robert Mbui (Kathiani), Maweu Katatha (Kangundo), Susan Musyoka (Woman Representative), Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala, former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti and a host of MCAs.

In what they called 'Kyawali declaration', they reminded the community that Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is the undisputed Kamba leader.
