Why Fifa is safe without Blatter and Platini

It is worth noting that outgoing Fifa President Sepp Blatter and his Vice-President Michel Platini have been banned for eight years by Fifa’s Ethics Committee.

This is justice to football fanatics and Fifa members whose funds have been embezzled by the two axed officials.

Fifa should also extend its threshold to local football federations that are in the business of doing that which is bad and wrong. This will serve as a lesson to other Fifa officials abusing their offices.

Football is the world’s most populous sport and should be protected at all costs. Almost 90 per cent of the world’s population are footballers fans.

Stringent penalties should be slapped on officials bent on killing football.
