Political parties have no ideologies

Since independence, Kenya has practised pseudo-democracy. Elections have been nothing but ethnic competition for power where large tribes carry the day. There is no semblance of ideology. How did we get ourselves here?

Tribal mobilisation is the most rudimentary and primitive form of governance. It strives to appeal to the instincts of a people of certain ethnicity.
