The Labour court in Kericho has ordered David Waiganjo Koinange to appear before it and produce his motor vehicle to Nasioki Auctioneers for auction.

Waiganjo- a son of the late cabinet minister Mbiyu Koinange- is embroiled in a debt of Sh4.6 million that he owes to one Josephat Ole Mpoe, his former manager at the Koingange owned Muthera Farm in Mau Narok.
Judge Njagi Marete last week ordered Waiganjo to appear in court with his motor vehicle KBQ 635U – Volkswagen Double Cabin Pick-up or give it to Nasioki Auctioneers for attachment.
Mr. Waiganjo's trouble started last year after he failed to defend himself in a suit filed by Mr. Mpoe in Nakuru Labour court challenging his sacking from being the Muthera farm Manager.
In the judgement, Justice Stephen Radido in February ordered Waiganjo to pay Mpoe Sh5million as owed salaries since January 2011 and outstanding leave pay of Sh400, 000. Sh800, 000 Mpoe owed the farm was subtracted.
His (Waiganjo) tractor together with one disc plough (Nardi) was attached by the auctioneers in June but the vehicle could not be traced at the place of attachment. Waiganjo is one of the administrators of the Muthera Farm.
Mpoe's sacking in September 2013 came amid bitter rivalry between the Koinange's and the Maasai residents over the controversial 4200 acre farm which has been at the centre of a bloody ownership row since 2008.
Mr. Waiganjo had signed the suspension letter signed, accused Mpoe of embezzlement and tribalism among other allegations.
In the suit, Mpoe told the court that the suspension was unprocedural and contravened court orders issued in November 2009 in a succession suit of 1981 and another suit issued in July 2013 in Nairobi land court.
