A mum has been arrested after allegedly giving cannabis and beer to eight young girls at her daughter's slumber party.
Mandy Wells, 32, is accused of giving each of the girls - aged between 12 and 14 - two cans of Coors Light and marijuana in a 'Hello Kitty' pipe.
The allegations are listed in an affidavit following the mum-of-three's arrest in Springtown, Texas, US.
Police swooped after being alerted to pictures of the girls smoking what appeared to be marijuana on Instagram.
One of the girls is reported to have told police Wells offered them the cannabis after saying it helps her own daughter with depression .
She is claimed to have admitted to police police she allows her 14-year-old daughter to self-medicate with marijuana because her prescribed medication 'does not work'.
Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler told WFAA officers had found drugs paraphernalia while searching the house, as well as dog faeces on the floor and beer cans in one of her children's bedroom.
He said: "This place was a garbage dump. It was nasty, filthy."
Wells' children have been removed from her home and are now in the care of local children's services.
At least two parents of the girls involved have told police they plan to press charges against Wells.
She was remanded in custody with $20,000 bail.
