Science and technology are the main drivers of rapid industrialisation.

Industrialisation is the force behind economic development. Kenya seemed to have taken off well at independence when the Government set up technical schools in furtherance of that goal.

But the death of technical institutions has led to the scarcity of technicians and artisans. The current state of manpower is as a result of bad education policy. Policy makers changed the education system without carrying out proper market research.
