"Team mafisi" encounters humiliation publicly

Drama unfolded at one of the hostels in Kisii University after a comrade was flushed out fiercely by a lady on a Friday night. The victim, only identified as Mwanje, is purported to be part of the popular 'Team mafisi,' known for cheating freshers and faking their love to newly admitted ladies.

First year students were admitted at Kisii University on 3rd and 4th for the September intake this year. The 'Team mafisi', who are continuing students, were spotted arriving early at the institution to try out their luck in pursuit of the beautiful ladies admitted.

Some of them had become 'ghost ushers,' pretending to guide new comers into the school yet in real sense they had another agenda.

After a long tedious exercise of registration, the freshers settled, with some acquiring new boyfriends and girlfriends. Mwanje was not left out. He had managed to secure the beautiful Jane (not her real name) and was optimistic that his dreams were valid.

 That night Mwanje was invited for dinner by his new girlfriend. He could not hide his happiness as he knew the night would be heaven-like.

After many hours of chatting till midnight, Jane complained of feeling sleepy and asked him to excuse her so she could retire to bed. Mwanje was shocked as he did not expect such a statement from his new girlfriend. He insisted that it was late in the night and it was not safe for him to go back to his hostel and asked to sleep on the same bed with her.

Jane knew the trick behind the words and would not allow to be hoodwinked by a stranger. The situation in the room turned wild as love became sour.

She vigorously opened the door, "Get out or I call the police!" This was the worst nightmare to the now worried Mwanje, whose chances of tasting the 'cookie jar' were becoming narrower and narrower. Things had just turned upside down.

An argument sparkled between the two, which awakened neighbours in the middle of their sleep. Those who came to the scene watched how Mwanje was thrown out of the lady's room like thunder and lightning. "Toka hapa! Mimi si malaya! Enda town utafute huko! (Get away from here! I'm not a harlot! Go and look for them in town!)

The witnesses were left in laughter as the humiliated Mwanje left the scene. One of the 'Team mafisi' had learned a lesson the hard way.

Neighbours condemned the act and promised to announce in public anyone who will be found 'salivating' at freshers.

Other members of the sect heard of what happened to their fellow and feared that such might happen to them. They vowed to be careful when approaching first years.
