Church, the whole of Kenya must repent, says pastor

The nation and the Church have been called upon to repent and turn to God to avoid imminent disaster.

Speaking during a service at Free Pentecostal Fellowship in Kenya Church in Embakasi, the Rev Gilbert Egerton of Dorcas Ministries International said repentance would bring healing.

"Many pastors in Kenya are not called to do what they are doing and this is why many churches are full of all kinds of sinners, including the pastors themselves, who have scandalous lives," he said.

Dr Egerton, who said he is on a mission to six African countries to spread the gospel of true repentance, regretted that few Kenyan pastors are preaching repentance but just prosperity.

He termed the recent US Supreme Court legalisation of same-sex marriage as abomination to God.

"Where I come from in Northern Ireland, it is the only part of the UK where that has refused to recognise same-sex marriage," he said.
