Kenyans living in Migingo have expressed displeasure over the recent visit to Uganda by President Uhuru Kenyatta. Fishermen living on the disputed island said they were left out when Uhuru failed to touch on the ownership of the island.
John Obunge, the chairman of Migingo Beach Management Unit said over 6,000 residents of Migingo Island sub-location anticipated Uhuru would discuss the island with his host, Yoweri Museveni.
“We are expressing our misgivings over the President’s visit. We feel completely neglected as Kenyans. The President knows what the fishermen and residents have been undergoing," he said.
