Four people are fighting for their lives-two at Moi Teaching and Referal hospital Eldoret and two others at Rift valley provincial General hospital,Nakuru after a tractor carrying logs with seven loaders experienced failed breaks on a downstream at Kitaraka along Eldoret-Torongo-Eldama-Ravine road. The truck rolled over injuring the occupants and a woman who is said to have been scooping sawdust,Koibatek Deputy OCPD Jonathan Wafula confirmed..
Wafula said othe woman was a 33 year old mother of five children who was scooping sawdust near the sawmill near Chemususu junction after a log fell on her waist, others loaders sustained injuries.
Speaking in his office,Koibatek Deputy police boss Wafula said two other loaders are admitted to Mercy mission hospital in stable condition following the 12.30pm incident and two others were discharged with minor injuries.
The Deputy OCPD said police have launched investigation into the self involved accident and tractor has been towed to Eldama-Ravine police station.
Mercy mission hospital Matron Emma Koech said the two are in stable condition and responding well to medication.
