Refurbished airport terminal about to start operations

Kenya: The recently-completed terminal 2, a pre-fabricated building at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, will be able to handle 2.5 million passengers annually.

The new terminal, set to commence operations by the end of this month, will see the capacity of JKIA hit 7.5 million passengers, up from the current 6.5 million.

“The task at hand now is to ensure that JKIA meets the projected demand to enable the airport effectively play its role as a gateway to the region,” said Kenya Airports Authority Managing Director Lucy Mbugua.
