Two children have died and over 20 people hospitalised in Sololo after a cholera-like disease and malaria out break hit the region.
Sololo Mission Hospital Clinical Officer Joseph Cheruiyot confirmed 28 people had been admitted at the facility on Tuesday.
Mr Cheruiyot said majority of patients complained of diarrhoea while others were hospitalised as malaria cases. He said children are most affected.
He also said 15 patients admitted last week were treated and discharged on Monday.
“We have received 15 other patients mostly children today (Tuesday). The patients suffer both diarrhoea and malaria,” Cheruiyot said on phone.
Obbu Ward Administer Abdinassir Boru called on residents to rush those affected to hospital.
