The Director of Public Prosecution has directed police in Hola to move swiftly and arrest the 15 suspects behind the gang rape ordeal of two sisters in Wayu village last week.

In a letter seen by The Standard, dated December 9, the DPP has expressed outrage over police failure and other relevant arms of government to quickly probe the serious criminal offences meted against the two girls.

"Two communities are involved here and we must move quickly to avert possible clashes between Somalis and Ormos," the DDP said in the letter.

The 16 and 23 year old sisters were gang raped when, together with their father, they set out to look for their lost camels. The assailants tied their elderly father to a tree and forced him to watch.
