Limuru-based Bata Shoe Company will open one of its largest retail outlets in Africa along Nairobi's Muindi Mbingu Street next week.
The multi-million shilling super store will be a one-stop shoe shop for Bata brands and other renowned international shoe brands. "This super store will allow us to accommodate even more customers in an ample space where they can comfortably do their shopping," says Bata Kenya's Head of Retail and Marketing Rajat Saxena in an interview with the Standard. This will be Bata's 133rd retail store in Kenya. Out of its 133 stores in the country, 25 are franchises rented out to investors while 63 are fully owned by the company. They also manage 45 stores on behalf of their owners in profit-split agreements.
