Busia, Kenya: Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong says his government has put in place adequate measures in case of an Ebola outbreak.
"With the cancellation of flights by Kenya Airways to Ebola hit nations in West Africa, passengers have started using Entebbe Airport and entering the country through Busia or Malaba. With porous border points, the chances of Ebola outbreak in the country are high," Ojaamong said during a meeting with security officers and stakeholders at the border town yesterday.
The governor said the county government was co-operating with the national government to address challenges affecting border residents, including the Ebola scare. Ebola cases have been reported in four West African countries: Siera Leone, Liberia, Guinea and Nigeria.
