A report released by the Ministry of Health indicates that about 106,000 people in Kenya are infected with HIV annually.
The Cabinet Secretary for Health, James Macharia, said the report findings are proof that HIV is still a huge problem in the country and that condom use remains very low.
He added that the ministry will work harder to fight the spread of the virus and to promote condom use among sexually active individuals.
Mr Macharia also called for the improvement of HIV care services, which he believes is one of the ways that will help the country realise an Aids-free generation.
