Kenya: British investors are concerned with the rate of corruption and insecurity in the country.
The concern was raised Tuesday by British High Commissioner to Kenya Christian Turner when he visited the offices of Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission at Integrity Centre in Nairobi.
Mr Turner was in particular interested to know if the commission is independent in its mandate.
The envoy, who was accompanied by top diplomats at the High Commission, said a number of Britons were willing to invest in Kenya if assured that corruption and insecurity were being tackled.
EACC vice chair Irene Keino assured Turner and his team they are independent and do not receive any direction or get interference from the political class.
