Keep off party polls, MPs tell ODM rivals

By James Omoro

ODM rivals have been told to keep off forthcoming party elections and quit spreading propaganda.

Nyatike MP Omondi Anyanga told supporters that the party would remain united even after the February 28 elections. His Suna East counterpart Junet Mohamed accused ODM rivals of propagating propaganda through the media to scuttle the elections, adding that there is a plot to divide Nyanza.

Mr Anyanga said political jostling in the Orange party was due to popularity of the party, adding that chances were high that ODM would clinch the presidency in 2017.

He said despite heated campaigns ahead of what promises to be a divisive election, the party would emerge stronger. The MP said an attempt to discredit the recently constituted ODM elections board was a ploy by rivals.

Anyanga, running for deputy party treasurer, urged delegates to go for able leaders who will take ODM to a new level.
