Coast had most ‘old’ candidates

According to KCPE results released yesterday, 6,193 candidates who sat last year’s examinations in Coast region were aged 19 years and above.

And Coast had the highest number of inmates who sat the KCPE. Some 57 candidates sat the examination behind bars in the two coastal counties with Mombasa having 40 and Taita Taveta 17.

Nairobi had 29 prison candidates, Nyeri 17, Kisii 13, Bomet and Nandi had one each while Garissa had two candidates.

Mombasa had seven blind candidates while there were 50 candidates with low vision in the coastal region.
