Two people including a form two student were found murdered in two different incidents in Naivasha.
In the first incident, the student was sexually abused and later strangled by unknown people in County Council estate
Shock, anger and anxiety gripped area residents after the body of the girl was found dumped by the roadside.
Some of the relatives and friends broke into tears as police moved in to collect the body of the semi-naked teenager.
According to one of the local leaders John Mugo, the minor had been living alone when the incident occurred.
The former councilor noted that there were indications that the girl was raped before she was strangled using a scarf.
“We are perturbed by this incident and we are calling on the police to fully investigate this incident and arrest those responsible,” he said.
Naivasha OCPD Charles Kortok confirmed the incident saying that investigations were going on though no arrest had been made.
He called on members of the public to volunteer any information which would help arrest those behind the murder.
“Initial reports indicate that the girl was sexually abused and the body has been taken to the local mortuary as investigations continue,” he said.
