NYERI, KENYA: The case in which two men are charged with abducting a Nyeri chief has been postponed to January next year.

The postponement followed a request by prosecution for the case to be adjourned to pave way for a consultation between the prosecutor and the director of public prosecution after the chief expressed interest to withdraw the case.

In his application, prosecutor Stancelous Mwangi noted that although the complainant wanted the case withdrawn, abduction is a serious offence, and he would have to consult with the DPP on the matter.
