Kajiado, Kenya: Police in Ngong yesterday uprooted bhang on a farm and arrested a 25-year-old man suspected to have planted the outlawed crop.

The man, who lives alone in his house, is accused of planting bhang on a small piece of land next to his house in Oloolua , Kajiado North. Neighbours who learnt of his activity tipped off Administration Police officers in Ngong who responded.

Ngong Police boss Mohamed Farah confirmed the incident, saying officers arrived at the scene and uprooted the crop before arresting the suspect.

“Neighbours tipped off police officers who arrived at the scene and uprooted the bhang,” Farah told The Standard on phone. He said the suspect would be arraigned in court.
