It is alleged Shebesh had stormed Kidero’s office with some county employees’ over the ongoing strike over unpaid salaries which has paralysed operations.
Kidero termed the incident as unfortunate and regrettable and assured the residents of Nairobi that the matter, which was now in the hands of investigative authorities, will be pursued within the due process to its logical conclusion.
“I wish to regard what happened to me yesterday at City Hall as a despicable act of aggression on my personal integrity and that of the office of the Governor”, Kidero said in statement sent to newsrooms and signed by County Executive, Information Communication head Mohamed Abdullahi.
The Governor further alleged that they have information that the storming of City Hall on Friday was a premeditated act orchestrated by negative forces who are opposed to the on-going reforms to streamline governance of the City.
