“I met Beatrice through her sister Millicent in Nairobi and knew she was the one for me. My life with her for 13 years was full of joy. She was hardworking and a good mother to our children. I don’t know who will fill the void she has left.”
These were the sad words of Newton Nyaoke, Friday as a sombre mood engulfed St Christopher’s ACK Church in Mathare North, Nairobi during the requiem mass for his departed wife Beatrice Nyaoke.
Beatrice and Newton’s brother, Ayub Nyaoke, met their untimely deaths on August 12 as they purchased wedding rings in a shop in Nairobi.
The bride died on the spot while Ayub was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital with a bullet lodged in his head. He unfortunately succumbed to the injury.
“It is a picture I will never forget until my death,” said Newton.
In the Eulogy, Beatrice’s family members said death robbed them of a priceless jewel.
