Wife attacks pastor after she found him in a widow’s bed

By CHARLES NGENO

A pastor from Mulot, Bomet County is nursing serious injuries after his wife attacked him for having a ‘kesha’ in a widow’s house.

The pastor, who is now the talk of the village, is romoured to have been having a thing with the widow, without the knowledge of his wife.

On several occasions, the man of God is said to have left his home, every Tuesday and Friday, after supper with a reason that he was attending ‘keshas’ praying for people in the neighbouring villages.

Shocking

Attempts by his wife to accompany him bore no fruits as he told her to mind the children. His adamant behavior forced her to seek other women’s advice, and what she got was rather shocking, if not, unbelievable.

Several women told her that it was public knowledge that her husband was not going for any night meetings. Instead, he had made it his habit to spend at the home of a late pastor.

Not a rash woman, the pastor’s wife sought the intervention of the church elders. He was summoned for interrogation and what the elders received from him was quite hilarious if not absurd.

He said God, while answering his several prayer requests, had asked him to ‘assist’ his late colleague’s wife and dismissed them saying he would rather follow God’s command than listen to good-for-nothing elders.

Haul

When this news reached his wife, she decided to bid her time and on this particular Tuesday she ensured she made supper a bit late. At ten after supper, the man left his home with a bible heading for the next village, unaware that his wife was secretly following him.

He headed straight to the widow’s house and as if walking into his house pushed the door and locked it from inside. His wife decided to wait for the long haul.

What she heard, she later revealed to other women, was beyond her. Her husband’s performance was no comparison to his lackluster performance at home.

This infuriated her the more and at around mid-night the man went out for a call. His wife jumped on him and strangled him on the neck before picking a piece of firewood and using it on him. He ran towards his home leaving behind his clothes and shoes.

His attacker ran after him and as he entered his compound, his attacker still on pursuit, the man of cloth decided to retaliate. But alas! He realised the attacker; his wife.

“So that is where you have been going for ‘keshas’ all this time. You liar, pretender,” hissed the woman.

Full of shame the man apologised and promised to change.

When news of his amorous behaviour reached a nearby day school he had been pastoring in, the school management forthwith terminated his services and declared him persona non grata.
