Residents rough up man for defiling cow

Embu, Kenya: Residents of Kabogi village in Embu County on Thursday night beat up a man, 50, after they found him committing an unnatural act with a neighbor’s cow.

The suspect, who is a milk vendor, was found by the cow’s owner while allegedly engaging in the beastly act at around 9.30pm.

He called residents who came and found Karianye in the act and they descended on him before he was rescued by the area chief.

Speaking on phone, Chief Edwin Nyaga said he locked up the man in his camp where he remained until the Friday morning.

According to residents, the owner of the cow did not want to follow up the matter and did not record a statement with the police.
