The two clerks recently picked in Parliament are in the United Kingdom House of Commons for a one week induction programme on how to handle bicameralism.

Mr Jeremiah Nyegenye and Justin Bundi on Tuesday met House Speaker John Bercow and Clerk of the House and Chief Executive of the House of Commons Robert Rogers who took them through the operations of the House of Commons and House of Lords.

The two are accompanied by Director General Clement Nyandiere.

The officers were also educated on the support provided by the Office of the Chief Executive to the CEO/Clerk of the House.

They also met clerk of committees, clerk of Legislation and director general, human resources and change, and other human resource officials.

Outgoing National Assembly Clerk Patrick Gichohi said the training programme was organized by the House of Commons.
