In relation to visible love between Kawira Mwangaza and Murega Baichu, relationship therapist Nicoletta Mungai argues that nowadays people are shocked and suspicious when they see a happy couple.
“We are in a world where when a couple is good, it becomes suspicious. People start questioning how this couple can be glued together,” she observed.
The expert is however, quick to point out that since Mwangaza and Murega share a Christian background, their love could have been spiritually cemented.
Mungai observes that nowadays, it is rare to come across a couple who stand together during thick and thin since what is keeping many people in marriage is what you are putting on the table.
“We still have remnants of those people who know they are there not because of what the other party has, but love beyond what that person has on the table,” she states.
Adding that, “We have people with a lot of money but they are not happy, to some people, is not about money.”
She regrets nowadays some people leave behind their partners when going on work trips but instead tag along secret lovers.
“That is what we are planting in our children, in fact, when some kids see parents go out, they are shocked like it is not normal,” notes Mungai.
