Muhoozi Kainerugaba blocks CNN's Larry Madowo on X as online feud escalates

The dispute traces back to the aftermath of Uganda’s recent general elections, which were followed by allegations of electoral malpractice

Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces and son of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has blocked CNN journalist Larry Madowo on X amid a public online feud that has been brewing for some time.

The move came after Madowo highlighted and reported on Muhoozi’s controversial posts, including threats directed at Uganda’s opposition leader, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, and his National Unity Platform (NUP) party.
