A postmortem report has confirmed that Willis Ayieko, a Wells Fargo Human Resource manager, died from severe head injuries.

Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor, who released the report on Tuesday, October 29, noted that Ayieko suffered extensive bruising on his head and brain bleeding.

The report also revealed missing tissues from Ayieko’s body, including his lips, ears, cheeks, and chest.

Additional findings showed injury marks on his wrists, likely from handcuffs, and bruises on his knees and lower limbs.

Oduor expressed concern over the advanced state of decomposition, describing it as extreme.

Ayieko was reported missing on October 18 after attending a burial vigil in Gem, Siaya County. His family reported his disappearance on October 21.

His body was later found partially submerged in the Mungowere stream in Yala, Siaya County, on October 23.

According to police, Ayieko’s body was half-naked and appeared to have been tortured elsewhere before being dumped in the stream.

One suspect was arrested on Monday night in Nairobi’s Dandora Phase IV in connection with his murder, and is currently being held at Muthaiga Police Station.

Authorities are continuing the investigation, following several leads to identify additional suspects.
