The Head of State used the opportunity to urge the state officers to avoid corruption while calling on them to prioritize programs that will create jobs for the youths.

“We have formed a broad-based government to unite the country and rally all Kenyans behind the country's transformation journey. I call on those selected to serve in the Cabinet to focus on the implementation of programs and policies that will transform the lives of Kenyans and move the country forward,” he stated.

At the same time, he rallied the cabinet secretaries to live by the oath of office they took after being sworn in  last week after being vetted by the Committee on Appointments and approved.
