The book also details his journey as a family man and his life experience.

Speaking during the launch on Wednesday, in Nairobi, Chandaria said he was inspired by the will to leave his legacy in writing after he was approached by various journalists.

"They wanted me to write and I said I'm not going to write, and finally came along the writers who took interviews and finally the book emerged out of the idea," he said.

The business mogul is a revered philanthropist whose contribution to society has been recognised particularly in the education and healthcare sector through the Chandaria Foundation.

He said the accolades are "not because I'm successful, there are many successful people...but because I make a difference in the lives of people and that is what is important."

"The difference that I could make is to serve the people and change their lives," he said," adding that he was inspired by the deeds of Mother Theresa.

Chandaria acknowledged the support of stakeholders saying it "takes time to win the people's heart."

He said at least 1000 copies of the biography, will be distributed to secondary schools and libraries across the country.

"Besides that we are going to cover many important people that we know and everyone here will get a book, some will go to London, New York, Geneva and Toronto," he said

"The idea is to distribute as many as possible free of charge so that inspiration is given to the children of this country, especially the youth," he added.
