A woman who allegedly killed former Nairobi Hospital Finance boss Eric Maigo has pleaded guilty to the offense.
Anne Adhiambo Auma pleaded to the charges virtually before Judge Kanyi Kimondo on Thursday, October 26.
Adhiambo is accused of murdering Eric Maigo.
The suspect pleaded guilty three times before Kimondo when the murder charges were read to her.
The Judge asked her several questions as to whether she understood the charges read out and the consequences she's facing and she admitted in affirmative.
Court gave directions that she consults with her lawyers further and appears before Judge Diana Mochache on November 8 at the Kibera Law court for a second plea taking.
The plea will be related to murder charges.
According to the prosecution, the accused is said to have murdered the deceased on September 15 at Woodley estate in Nairobi.
After the incident, she went into hiding for several days before she was apprehended and presented in court under a miscellaneous application as police sought 21 days to hold her pending completion of investigations before charging her officially.
The court heeded the application and gave an order that she remain in custody for seven more days as investigations went on.
The investigating officer has now closed the miscellaneous application after establishing that they have gathered enough evidence to charge her with the offense of murder.
